Recovering precious metals from lithium battery waste is one of the most critical challenges—and opportunities—facing the energy storage industry today. At Li-Generate, we are developing a novel process that redefines how these metals can be recovered in a cost-effective and sustainable way.

Conventional recycling technologies, such as pyrometallurgy or hydrometallurgy, often require large-scale infrastructure, high energy input, and generate substantial chemical waste. These methods also tend to suffer from low recovery rates of high-value materials like nickel, cobalt, and lithium.
Li-Generate’s process is different. Built on a proprietary single-reactor system, our method enables direct recovery of precious metals at high purity, with dramatically lower operational costs and a minimal environmental footprint. Unlike existing approaches, our technology eliminates the need for multi-stage chemical processing and significantly reduces CAPEX and OPEX requirements.
Our aim is to set a new industry standard for lithium battery recycling—one that is profitable, environmentally responsible, and scalable. While we are still in the development phase, our early results are promising and have already attracted attention from strategic investors and industrial partners.
As global demand for battery materials continues to surge, the ability to recover critical metals from waste is no longer a nice-to-have—it’s essential. Li-Generate is positioned at the forefront of this shift, pioneering a solution that bridges the gap between sustainability and industrial performance.
We invite you to follow our journey, explore our vision, and join us in shaping the future of urban mining and battery waste recovery.
